After 15 years working in communications for the Church of England in Nottinghamshire, I moved to live out in Cyprus for two years as an army wife in 2013. This was a big change for me and for our family, so this blog became a record of the experiences, difficulties and dilemmas, as well as some of the crazy stuff that made me smile.

Now back in the UK and living on an army base beside Chichester Harbour, I continue to blog intermittently – hoping to drop a few pebbles that might make interesting ripples for family, friends, colleagues and even those I have never met…

Along with blogging and writing for magazines my first book was published by Lion in August 2017 and is a memoir entitled ‘I married a soldier’. It tells the moving story of army wife, Brenda Hale who faced her worst nightmare after her husband was killed in Afghanistan.
